01Data controller

The website plomberiedusenegal.com is published by Plomberie du Sénégal (PLDS), whose registered office is located at Zone industrielle, Dakar — Sénégal. PLDS is the controller for the processing described in this policy.

02Data collected

We only collect the data needed for the requested service:

• Quote requests and contact forms: name, company, phone, e-mail, city, profile (company, tradesperson, individual…), desired lead time, description of needs, content of your product selection.
• Cart: the references and quantities you select, kept in your browsing session (no customer account is created automatically).
• Newsletter: e-mail address, if you choose to subscribe.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed and timestamps, recorded in server logs for security and diagnostics.

No banking data is collected on the site: payments are made as indicated on your quote or invoice.

04Data recipients

Your data is processed by PLDS's authorised sales, technical and administrative teams. It may be passed to our processors strictly for the needs of the service:

• our sales management software (quotes, orders, customers), securely hosted;
• our web host and e-mail delivery provider;
• where applicable, our carriers for delivering your orders (name, phone, delivery address).

We neither sell nor rent your data to third parties. No transfer is made for advertising purposes.

05Retention periods

• Quote and contact requests: 3 years from the last exchange, then deletion or anonymised archiving.
• Invoicing data: statutory retention period for accounting records (10 years).
• Cart: duration of the browsing session (7 days of inactivity maximum).
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
• Technical logs: 12 months maximum.

06Cookies and trackers

The site uses one strictly necessary session cookie (session identifier) to run the cart, the quote request and the protection of forms against fraudulent submissions. It is deleted when the browser closes or after 7 days of inactivity.

Your browser may also store your cart and preferences locally (local storage); this information never leaves your device.

We use no advertising cookies or third-party trackers. If audience measurement tools were enabled, they would only run with your consent, changeable at any time via the “Cookies” link in the footer.

07Security

PLDS implements appropriate technical and organisational measures: encrypted exchanges (HTTPS), access control to management tools, form protection, access logging and regular backups. Access to data is limited to people who need it for their duties.

08Your rights

In accordance with Law No. 2008-12 of 25 January 2008 on the protection of personal data, you have a right of access, rectification, deletion, objection on legitimate grounds and objection to commercial prospecting, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

To exercise these rights, write to info@plds.sn stating your request and proving your identity. We reply as soon as possible. You may also refer the matter to Senegal's Commission de protection des Données Personnelles (CDP).

09Minors

The site is aimed at professionals and adults. We do not knowingly collect data about minors; if this were the case, it would be deleted on request.

10Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect legal, technical or service changes. The last-updated date appears at the top of the page; the online version prevails.
