Overview of the PLDS extrusion workshop
PVC manufacturer

Made in Senegal, for Senegal's construction sites

Plomberie du Sénégal produces PVC-U pressure and drainage pipes and their fittings in Dakar. Manufacturing locally means controlling quality end to end, guaranteeing availability of common references and responding fast to site needs.

  • Pipe extrusion and fitting moulding on a single site
  • Quality control and traceability on every batch
  • Ready-to-ship stock in Dakar and the regions
  • PVC-URigid, unplasticised material

Four workshops, one continuous chain

Extrusion lines

Extruders, vacuum calibration and cooling tanks, haul-off and cut-to-length: the complete chain to produce consistent pressure and drainage pipes, length after length.

Fitting moulding

Injection presses and dedicated moulds produce elbows, tees, couplings and reducers to the exact dimensions of our pipes, for a precise, watertight fit.

Quality control

Every batch is checked: wall thickness, diameter and ovality, surface appearance, socket watertightness. Results are recorded for traceability.

Storage & shipping

Common references are stored on racks, ready to load. Orders are prepared by batch and shipped to Dakar and the regions.

From granule to ready-to-lay pipe

Six steps mastered continuously. At every step a parameter is measured; at the end, an identified, traceable batch.

  1. Raw material

Receipt and dosing of PVC-U compound (resin, stabilisers, fillers) according to the range to be produced.

  2. Extrusion

The material is plasticised then pushed through the die that gives the pipe its diameter and thickness.

  3. Calibration & cooling

The pipe passes through a vacuum calibration tank then cooling tanks to fix its dimensions.

  4. Marking & cutting

In-line marking (range, diameter, pressure, batch) then cut to length and socket forming.

  5. Quality control

Sampling and measurements on every batch; any deviation stops the line for adjustment.

  6. Storage & delivery

Racking by reference, order preparation and shipping to your sites.

Quality control

What we check on every batch

Pressure range designed to ISO 1452 requirements, drainage range to ISO 4435. Detailed data sheets available on request.

  • Wall thickness

Measured at several points around the circumference, compared with the range tolerance.

  • Diameter & ovality

Mean outside diameter and ovality checked after calibration.

  • Watertightness

Fit and leak tests on pipe + fitting assemblies.

  • Appearance & marking

Surface, colour and marking legibility checked before stocking.
